Who Could Deny You Lyrics

Tim Buckley

I know your kind,
Youve been throught the mill,
Now youre standing in line,
Too proud to beg and too tired to cry,
About the one that got away,
Your first love
Oh he taught you how to pay
And now youre all alone
Youve got your misery,
You were not taught so well sister
Thats why you ended up with me
Now that youve found me,
Oh darling please dont tease me,
All of my naked years are in front of me,
Come here darling,
Lay down by my side
Lovin the way you do,
Oh, woman wont you tell me,
Tell me who,
Tell me who can deny you;
You love and you lose, youre lost in the blue
Your turn again, you paid your way but its under your skin
And itll never let you go, under your skin so deep
It never really shows;
Youre all alone but youve got your misery
The sea is raging honey reaching for you and me;
Now that youve found me,
Oh darling please dont tease me,
All of my naked years are here in front of me,
Come here darling,
Lay down by my side
Lovin the way you do,
Oh, woman wont you tell me,
Tell me who,
Tell me who can deny you
